About the Role

As a Customer Success Intern, you will help customers receive measurable value from BDA’s products, starting primarily with LinkAssist.

You will onboard new customers, connect with them regularly, understand their experience, identify issues, coordinate resolutions and improve product adoption, retention, renewals and referrals.

This is a proactive customer relationship role, not only a complaint-handling role.

  • Duration: Long-term internship, preferably 12–24 months
  • Working Hours: Approximately 4 hours per day
  • Location: Remote
  • Stipend: ₹5,000 during the 30-day paid trial, increasing to ₹7,000–₹10,000 per month based on performance
  • Incentives: Additional incentives for successful renewals, testimonials and qualified referrals

Key Responsibilities

Customer Onboarding

  • Welcome new customers and introduce them to the product
  • Help customers complete their account setup
  • Explain the product’s important features and use cases
  • Help customers complete their first meaningful activity
  • Share relevant tutorials, resources and support information
  • Track onboarding progress and pending actions
  • Ensure customers understand how to receive value from the product

Proactive Customer Engagement

  • Connect with customers at planned intervals
  • Ask about their product experience and current challenges
  • Understand whether they are using the product regularly
  • Identify inactive or low-usage customers
  • Help customers restart and improve their product usage
  • Share relevant feature updates and best practices
  • Maintain a professional relationship with every customer

Issue Management

  • Record every customer issue with complete details
  • Collect screenshots, screen recordings and steps to reproduce problems
  • Categorize issues based on urgency and customer impact
  • Coordinate with the product or development team
  • Keep customers informed about the progress
  • Follow up after resolution to confirm that the issue is fixed
  • Ensure no customer request is missed or forgotten
  • Identify recurring issues that require product improvement

Customer Feedback

  • Collect structured feedback from customers
  • Understand which features customers use and value
  • Identify confusing or difficult parts of the product
  • Maintain a record of feature requests
  • Share recurring customer needs with the product team
  • Help prioritize issues based on frequency and customer impact
  • Collect measurable customer outcomes and success stories

Retention and Growth

  • Identify customers who may not renew
  • Escalate dissatisfied or inactive customers before renewal
  • Support renewal conversations using approved communication
  • Request testimonials from satisfied customers
  • Request referrals using approved messages
  • Identify customers who may benefit from upgrades or other BDA products
  • Help turn satisfied customers into product advocates

Customer Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM
  • Track onboarding, usage, issues, feedback and renewals
  • Prepare a weekly customer-health report
  • Categorize customers as active, inactive, at risk or satisfied
  • Report unresolved and high-impact issues
  • Track testimonials, referrals and renewals
  • Share important customer insights with the product team

Customer Contact Schedule

Each customer should receive:

  • A welcome message after joining
  • An onboarding check-in during the first week
  • A product usage check-in after 15 days
  • A relationship and feedback check-in every month
  • Additional follow-ups when usage drops or an issue remains unresolved
  • A renewal conversation before the subscription expires

Communication may take place through WhatsApp, email, phone or video call based on the customer’s preference.

Expected Outcomes

  • 100% of new customers contacted within one working day
  • 100% of new customers guided through onboarding
  • Every active customer contacted at least once per month
  • Every issue documented and followed until confirmed closure
  • Inactive customers identified and re-engaged
  • At-risk customers escalated before renewal
  • Customer feedback regularly shared with the product team
  • Testimonials and referrals collected from satisfied customers
  • Accurate and updated weekly customer-health reports
  • Reduced founder involvement in routine customer follow-ups

Who Can Apply

You should apply if you:

  • Are pursuing a degree in business, management, sales, marketing or communication
  • Can communicate clearly in written and spoken English and Hindi
  • Are comfortable speaking with professionals and business owners
  • Can listen carefully and ask relevant questions
  • Have patience, empathy and problem-solving ability
  • Can follow up consistently without repeated reminders
  • Are comfortable learning software products
  • Can organize customer information accurately
  • Can take responsibility for an issue until it is resolved
  • Can commit consistently for at least 12 months

Previous customer support experience is helpful but not required. Communication, ownership, learning ability and follow-through are more important than academic marks.

Customer Communication Guidelines

The selected intern must:

  • Never promise an unapproved feature or delivery date
  • Never argue with or blame a customer
  • Never close an issue without customer confirmation
  • Never share customer data or login information
  • Escalate payment, refund and serious product complaints
  • Record every important conversation and next action
  • Communicate clearly, politely and professionally
  • Follow up until the customer receives a resolution
